Podcast show notes for TLH026. Podcast player after the fold. This edition of the TallyCast podCast opens with a tune from Tallahassee band “Girls on Film“. Dave discusses getting ready to go to the inauguration in Washington DC, winter eco-tourism in North Florida including the fabulous bike routes in our beautiful state, and the ambitious Florida Trail project.
A special shoutout to Tallahassee’s All American Auto Electric who once again, did a great job for a reasonable cost. We’re lucky to have some great home owned businesses in Tallahassee and these folks are one of them. If you have a hometown business that deserves a shout out, drop us a line or better yet, tell us on our listener response line (+1 (850) 391-4955) or send us an audio note (mp3 please).
Lake Lafayette is a beautiful new park…mostly a place to take your canoe or kayak and explore our wetlands.
The podcast ends with the tune Peace Around the World, from the band, Freedom People. The tune comes to through the nice folk at the Podsafe Music Network.

The image is of the Lake Lafayette level gauge at the Chaires boat landing. Photo by Dave.

It’s hurricane season in Florida. This song ought to be our state song. It’s “Hold Back the Waters”, the story of the death and destruction caused by the worst hurricane in Florida history, the great hurricane of 1928.
