The town was started by Wakulla County notable Henry Walker and was said to be the first platted subdivision in Florida. Actually, the [...]

Today’s podcast opens with a tune by Wakulla County singer/songwriter, Grant Peeples, who will share the stage this Friday evening at the Legion with saterist/songwriter Roy Zimmerman. More information on this and lots more of the events that make Tallahassee special by visiting our calendar.
Thanks and a shout out to Dr. Ford and the staff at Eye Associates of Tallahassee who made my world brighter yesterday by removing a cataract. The staff made the experience easy and the difference is amazing. I’m lucky that I currently have health insurance.
It’s sad that not everyone in this country does. I hope that when you decide on who to vote for, you’ll think about health insurance and which of the candidates will do the most to bring the US into parity with the rest of the industrialized world.
I picked Dr. Ford for my surgery after checking his record with the State of Florida and getting the recommendations of friends and neighbors.
Among other events this weekend, there is a special sneak preview event for the new and fabulous Fermentation Lounge on Saturday night.
Dave covers upcoming events from the calendar and closes the show with Rain, a tune from local Tallahassee Reggae band, Boxa Phillies. The tune comes to us from Garageband.com.</itunes:summary>
