The All Saints Cafe

Tallahassee Florida, originally uploaded by geishaboy500.

On Railroad Avenue, the All Saints Cafe roasts their own coffee and with coffee, fresh is best.

  1. I like Peet’s. It’s one of my favorite roasters in the world. They’re a west coast company with their roasting operation in the San Francisco Bay area. When I’m in Oakland, I drink Peet’s as often as I can. I bring home a bag or two. You can find Peet’s in Tallahassee if you look around, but my experience has been that by the time it reaches our shelves, it’s oxidized and lost that beautiful oily sheen that you find on fresh roasted coffee.

That pretty much goes for all the imported coffee in Tallahassee. Whether you get it from a big national coffee chain or out of a bag from the specialty section of the grocer, it’s old and nasty.

If you can buy fresh roasted from All Saints, you should at least try it.

    Eat locally, think globally!

  2. My wife and I tend to order our coffee from online specialty shops like Coffee Fool and Branson Bean.
